Capybaras are fascinating animals from the same family as guinea pigs, yet grow so much larger. They are found in South America. I was inspired to paint this study, adding my own interpretation, with the help of two different photos taken quite recently. This painting is 15" x 11" painted on 100% cotton paper with a limited palette of Daniel Smith Paints.
