My first miniature - penguin in watercolour
My first miniature - penguin in watercolour

Here is my first attempt as reported in the NEWS ARTICLE SECTION, of painting a watercolour miniature. Shown here is how it looked before I cropped it to fit a miniature frame. It originally measured 41/2" x 41/2" and is painted on Bockingford CP paper

A very enjoyable exercise - sincere thanks to Christina for inspiring me to have a go. I now know that I really do prefer to paint larger, and trying not to be over detailed and so precise as miniatures demand.
