‘Drawing with Paint #2’ is a monochrome in Ultramarine with a little Aureolin, both Daniel Smith colours. It is painted on Bockingford Pastel Blue CP paper – another first for me. The painting measures approximately 11” x 15”.
Inspired by a recent visit to Kirby Stephen, Cumbria and a short walk by the river it is a scene of the dog, ‘Ted’ coming towards me as he walks across the landmark, ‘Frank’s Bridge’.
I hope to paint more using pastel coloured paper. Thank you for viewing, maybe you are inspired to try a different paper in your own artwork. Each one poses a new challenge, as does using different brushes, or media. It’s all part of the fun and enjoyment of painting.
