Memories of Italy #5
Memories of Italy, Venice in watercolour

For several years now I have been studying art with Draw Paint Academy founder, Dan Scott. His various art courses are always inspiring, enlightening and loaded with good stuff.

Recently, an added workshop encouraged artists to try out sunrise and sunset painting. Dan is primarily an oil painter, however, everything he teaches can be applied to any medium. He is a great mentor.

As I am working on an Italian themed series at the moment, among other things, it seemed appropriate to use my own reference and memories of a beautiful sunset experienced whilst in Venice, last year.

I challenged myself once again painting, 'Sunset in Venice’ watercolour, on a new paper not used previously, Baohong CP Block measuring 23cm x 31cm 100% cotton paper. A limited DS palette was used, including two new colours.

A fun exercise, always learning. Thank you for keeping in touch here.
