Impression of Portmerion #2
Yellow Archway at Portmerion, Wales

Here is a watercolour painted on Fabriano Artistico paper cp, ¼ Imperial size, of a memory of a visit to Wales last year. ‘Impression of Portmerion, Snowdonia #2’ was painted using quite a bit of experimentation with both palette and techniques.

Although painted over several sessions and almost abandoned at one point; persevered to finish it as seen, not being sure a painting can ever be called finished.

It does consist of many happy accidents proving to be another learning curve along this painting journey. My hope is to inspire and encourage you all to do better. Sometimes, it is easy to think that one cannot paint, when in fact, art is in the realm of everyone interested and motivated. This is especially true of the age in which we now live.
