'Tropical Paradise Bouquet'
Purely watercolour, 'Tropical Paradise Bouquet'

'Tropical Paradise Bouquet' inspired by Cindy’s Pen and Wash of Tulips and Rose

This watercolour is from a bought bunch of flowers. I was inspired after watching Cindy Briggs paint a sketch in pen and wash of some tulips and roses. You can see my own sketch in the June News Section.

Here it is purely watercolour on ¼ Imperial size Fabriano paper. I used my favourite DS paints once again, with some visioneering on my part. It was a good experiment using some different pigments and beginning by wetting the back of the paper, rather than stretching it and painting when surface is dry.

I seemed to lose some translucency with probably more layers than was necessary, so another learning curve. It is fun to experiment and continue to learn in the process.

Have a wonderfully creative time this year everyone and enjoy the present moment, it’s a gift from our Saviour God. May His love, joy and peace be yours forever.
