The Warmth of Summer is here!
August Newsletter:

I am happy to have been painting already this month. The most recent painting can be found in the Latest Work Gallery, entitled, ‘The Hidden Stream.’ It was painted after visiting Browsholme Gardens, near Clitheroe, Lancashire, on a dull summer’s day, nevertheless, I have depicted a more warm, colourful scene using some visioneering. A fun painting in an almost, square format with a limited palette, using favourite pigments from Daniel Smith Paints.

One of my previous paintings, now in the Landscape Gallery, is also depicting Browsholme Gardens, from my memories. It is ‘Untitled’ as I still think of it as an unfinished piece. I guess all paintings are unfinished, until the next one comes along and we take what we have learned and move forward with new ideas. Speaking of which, I have several ideas for upcoming paintings, so please watch this space. I may need to write another Newsletter for August!

Just as God’s mercies are new every morning, each time we begin a painting it becomes something new to learn. A new learning curve. That is why it is good to experiment with new materials, tools and definitely different paper or canvas. All give various challenges and prompt strategies and problem solving. Thus, why it is good cognitive therapy along with being very therapeutic. Don’t you all just love creativity? Be inspired in whatever form or shape your art, whether music, dance, theatre, pottery, sculpting, gardening, needlework, poetry, writing, etc. Let us all sing in thankfulness of the Master Artist, Our Saviour God who breathes life into all creation. We are blessed, indeed. Amen.
