August was super busy, not necessarily with art, as it was difficult to set apart time for my favourite hobby. Life in general was packed, though pretty good despite what is going on in our world at large.

Just this week, I finally met for coffee with a long-time art friend. It was so good to share our thoughts. The outcome of the inspiring and encouraging meeting led me to complete the latest painting, ‘Cannon Beach, Oregon.’

I was happy to find a tutorial of G. Kersey and be challenged with something a little different from my usual paintings. It is a Grade 1 project and yet there is lots to learn from watching the video. As always, I take notes and use them to kick start my process and have as a reference whilst I am carried away in my own little bubble as I paint. A happy place to be.
